  3. I think Meg is plain, well, so far. She said that her hair is a plain color. She may not be plain to other people, but she thinks that because her mom is so smart and beautiful. Meg thinks she is not. Katie

  4. I think Meg is just plain ordinary. To everybody else she is ordinary but to her point of view, Meg is ugly, unsmart, and childish. The only reason she does think that is because her mom is so pretty and beautiful and that just limits Megs confidence.Kate

  5. Sorry I forgot to put my name on the last one. Meg is very down on herself. Like, when she was talking to her father, she refered to herself as not smart. Also, when she was talking to her mother she calls herself "oddball". She believes what people say about her.I don't feel comfortable to put my first name.Nobody else has my intials. A.S.

  6. I think Meg has low self esteem. She thinks that she's dumb. She thinks she is ugly. Meg is neither of those things. Also, she is a little defensive and fragile. Since her dad left, anyone who mentions him in a bad name she fights, or trys to fight them. In the story both her mother and her mentions getting into trouble by fighting a Henderson boy. She is also fiercly protective pf her brother, Charles Wallace. All in all, Meg keeps her family close, is very brave, and sees herself as a good for nothing mistake. Meredith

  7. Meg's personalitly depends on her feelings. For example, when there was that stormy night, she was feeling angry and confused. When she was walking around with Charles Wallace and met Calvin, she was feeling protective. Meg is also very insecure. She keeps telling herslef that she is dumb and that she is unattractive. She lets other people push her around and she always looks down on herself. For example, when she was telling us about her dad and the conversation that they had, she told her dad that he was just saying she's smart because he loves her. Her dad says that wasn't true and that she is smart. Of course, Meg doesn't believe him. She looks and the mirror and sees not what other people do. She sees a monster, which is not herself. She's not bright because she doesn't think that she is. Meg doesn't have confidence in herslef, even though that she should. Ellie.

  8. The thoughts I have about meg's personality as I read these chapters were that Meg tends to get mad when somebody says that her brother is really dumb, but in every chapter the book she tends to get happier and happier. She doesn't do very well in school and she calls herself an "oddball." She meets a boy named Calvin and Meg calls him a big bug. Laurie

  9. Some thoughts I've had are Meg isnt that bright but she has a good heart. She is very cautous about evryone and is touchy on certain subjects. An example from the story is when Mrs.Whatsit came to the house she was very carful about her and she found a way to slip around her almost. Also at the princibles office when he was questioning Meg, her father was a touchy subject. My impression on Meg is she is very offencive and has low self-esteam. She is secretive and cautous about herself. She is almost seeming to long for a friend. -Annieeeee

  10. Some of the few thoughts I have about Meg is she is very courageous. She wasn't scared if she got hit and fought the boys for the sake of her little brother. she semms to have very low self-esteem. Meg is also quite wishy-washy. The fact that in one scene she was told from the principal that her father is dead, that gets me very curios on what happened to her father. The same the thing with the tesseract. From Christine

  11. Some thoughts I have about Meg's personality are, that she is never fond of herself.Meg always thinks she is ugly and dumb.Meg doesn't respect that many people, just like when she disrespected her social studies teacher.Meg said "Who cares about the imports and exports of Nicaragua, anyhow?" The teacher then said,"If you're going to be rude you may leave!" Meg actually left.Hasti

  12. Meg is the exact opposite of optomistic. She said that she is stupid and is always complaining about all of the bad things that happen to her.She thinks that she is ugly and most other kids just confirm that for her and make her feel worse. They also call her wierd and just try to make her feel bad. She's very rude and uncooperative towards her teachers and gets sent to the principal's office alot. She gets misunderstood by all of her classmates and teachers. Her principal is very probing, especially when it comes to her father. For example, he asked her if her father had sent any letters recently, or when did he last write to you. She is extremely stubborn and I doubt anyone could sway her if she had her heart set on doing some thing.

Meg’s personality is not a type of personality that I would like to have. Meg is a very strait forward. She looks at the negative side of things and takes things so seriously. When Meg saw Mrs.Whatsit she did not look at the positive side of Mrs.Whatsit. All she thought is that Mrs.Whatsit was a rude and untrustworthy person. She probably thought this because Mrs.Whatsit came in the house without permission and stole the blankets from the Buncombe’s. Also Meg ALWAYS compares herself to other people; especially her younger brother who she thinks of is perfect. She always says they are prettier than me, smarter than me, so that must mean that I AM an “oddball”. She sets very high expectations for herself; she doesn’t know that no one is perfect. Put it this way; Meg’s personality is very different than most people.

  14. Meg’s personality is not the best. She seems to have a low-self-esteem and thinks she’s dumb. Meg takes things very seriously and she is very straight forward. Meg always compares herself to people whether its how pretty, smartness, and other things like that. Meg always says she doesn’t want her brother Charles to grow up and be dumb like her. Before Meg meets a person she doesn’t think to highly of them. When Mrs. Whatsit stole blankets from the Boncombe’s and entered her house without permission. She is the queen of comparing. She thinks she stands out in the crowd like an “oddball” or is an “oddball.” She thinks everybody else is perfect but her. She has very high goals and expectations for her self and feels if she doesn’t reach them she’s considered an ‘oddball” or dumb. She keeps a lot of things secret and to herself. Meg’s personality is very different from giddy, outgoing people. - Chandler

  15. I think that Meg isn't the most bright person in the book. She is wishy washy, has a low self of steam, scared at times,confuzzled/confused at times, asks a lot of questions, and demanding. But she thinks good of others and thinks about different people by their apperence and personallities. But she thinks bad about herself like when she thinks she is unattractive and dumb in the mirror.Anyways she has different feeling about others, such as when she meets Mrs.Who she has an uneasy feeling of her and has a mysterious feeling. She is very cautious. Her feelings depend on whats going on and how bad she wants to know something. She is very demading and asks a lot of questions when she meets Calvin because she has suspitions about him and doesn't fully trust him.She is scared when she meets Mrs.Whatsit and thinks she may be the tramp because Meg said only the tramp would be out for their victims on this type of night. She is confuzzled/confused when she meets new people such as Calvin,Mrs.Who,and Mrs.Whatsit.But in summary Meg has her own personallity that is different then others in many ways.

  16. Annmarie I think Meg is very unsure about herself. She thinks she is very plain. Meg is also very short tempered. For example one boy said something about her "dumb baby brother," and Meg tackled him.

  17. (Kaitlyn) Meg is very wishy-washy about herself. She hates herself and thinks she is an ugly plain Jane.”School.School was all wrong.” ” One of her teachers had said crossly Really Meg, I don’t understand how a child with parents as brilliant as yours can have a child as dumb as you.” These are only a few things that worsened her day. She even tells herself she’s a monster.-

  18. Some character traits Meg has are sensitivity, sometimes snappieness, smartness (I don't mean in school),but she has an kind and nice side.Meg is a little sensitive and snappy about being diffferent. For example when Meg was in Mr. Jenkins office, and he asked about her mother and father being scientists. And then about her not being adjustde to life because Meg didn't face facts.Meg can have a good side also to her.Like on the stormy night, Meg was happy downstairs with Charles Wallace and her mom.I think Meg is a decent person.

  19. Elizabeth L. I think that Meg has an outgoing personality. In the first few chapters, when Charles Wallace said he thought they should go to the haunted house, Meg went along with him. Her personality is also tough. Meg picked a fight with a boy a couple of years older than herself and about 25 pounds heavier while escaping with nothing more than a bruised cheek. I also think her personality is uniqe. She thinks she is as normal as normal can be, but she has no idea what's in store for her.
